The Applied Algebra and Analysis Research Group (A^3G) is pleased to announce that it is organizing a LaTeX Workshop on 8-9 November 2010 at Computer Lab 2 (C22 Level 3), Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru, Johor.
LaTeX is a document markup language and document preparation system for the TeX typesetting program. LaTeX is most widely used by mathematicians, scientists, engineers and others. This workshop will cover the following:
- Introduction to LaTeX
- Aligning math symbols and tables
- Import picture, bibliography, references
- Tabling & table of contents
- Writing thesis regarding format from UTM
- Writing an article in a journal paper
The workshop will be conducted by Assoc Prof Dr Yusof Yaacob from Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, UTMJohor Bahru.
Fasilitators – Dr Nor Muhainiah Mohd Ali & Dr Zarina Mohd Khalid.
All researchers and postgraduate (especially A^3G) students are invited to participate in this workshop. Please refer to the tentative program for the details of this workshop. The workshop is limited to the first 30 participants who send their registration form with payment.
Registration fee is RM50 only (which will cover all meals).
