INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CATALYSIS

The iCAT 2016 is an international conference on catalysis which will be organized by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia on 20th to 21st September 2016. It has multidisciplinary stream with prodigious potential to explore frontiers, challenges and opportunities in catalysis. The primary aim of this conference is to develop fundamental understanding and application of key aspects of catalytic science, especially relating to, catalyst preparation and production, the determination of atomic-architectures of active, reactive and de-activated catalysts, modelling of the active site – knowledge and possible application in industry which is essential for the design of new catalysts. The other purpose of the conference is to gather representatives from the researches, academic in this region and industrial communities to exchange information and ideas, and to find mutual ground for developing new and improved catalytic methods solving the challenges of today and the (near) future in our chemistry based societies.
