Dear all researchers, postgraduate students and Professionals,<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\nApplied, Algebra and Analysis Group (AAAG), Postgraduate Student Society Faculty of Science (PGSS FS) and Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, UTM Johor Bahru is pleased to announce that it is organizing a LaTeX Workshop on 1-3 February 2012 (Wednesday to Friday) at Ibnu Sina Institute, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru, Johor.<\/div>\n
\nLaTeX is a document markup language and document preparation system for the TeX typesetting program. LaTeX is most widely used by mathematicians, scientists, engineers and others. Many international journals and conferences proceedings use LaTeX to prepare their documents. Please visit http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/LaTeX<\/a>\u00a0for more info.<\/div>\n
\nThis workshop will cover the following:
\n– Introduction to LaTeX
\n– Aligning math symbols and tables
\n– Import picture, bibliography, references
\n– Tabling & table of contents
\n– Writing of thesis in LATEX
\n– Writing of a journal article in LATEX<\/span><\/div>\n
\nThe workshop will be conducted by Assoc Prof Dr Yusof Yaacob from Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, UTM Johor Bahru with the help from our UTM PhD candidate, Mr. <\/span>Ali Wahab Kareem from <\/span>Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, UTM Johor Bahru, assisted by 6 facilitators.<\/span><\/div>\n
\nAll researchers, postgraduate students and professionals are invited to participate in this workshop. Please refer to the attached brochure for the details of this workshop. The workshop is limited to the first 50 participants who send their registration form with payment. Payment can be done by cash or online banking. The registration fee is RM300 per person (covers all meals, certificate and workshop materials). Certificate of participation will be provided.<\/p>\n
