The main mission of this RG is to provide world-class teaching and research knowledge for the development of skilled workforce and prospering lives. The created holistic talents with the leadership qualities can lead to the innovation for universal well-being. Thus, this group nurtures the young minds with various experimental and applied understanding of advanced environmental friendly and low-cost materials potential for the commercialization, tackling the local and global challenges, fulfilling the societal needs, contributing to the Nation’s economy and sustainable development. Selection of these materials is based on availability, affordability, eco-friendliness, human safety, and efficiency. The frontier and transformative research conducted by this panel encompasses diverse areas in physics, chemistry, biology, computer modeling, and simulation. This panel is strongly dedicated in interdisciplinary and collaborative research providing a favorable atmosphere for exchanging new knowledge and ideas. It contributes to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge through scholarly (high impact) publications, public lectures, conferences, consultancies, workshops, and global webinar time to time. This panel is also engaged in the industrial partnerships, exchange of international scholars and professional networking. It covers a wide arrays of materials suitable for making various photonic devices (laser, LED, etc.), sensors, solar cells, self-cleaning, bio-implants and nanomedicine, to cite a few. The main emphasis is to synthesize, characterize and prototyping various materials of industrial needs that can eventually contribute to the national wealth generation through the research and innovation, life qualities improvement and natural resources preservation. This research group is committed to attract high quality scholars to develop a culture of intellectual excellence capitalized on the research expertise. We focus on smart partnership and skilled networking with different public and private sectors for enhancing the research, internship of students, and graduate employability. This group tries to optimize the uses of various facilities to conduct the research and other activities. Implementation of the market driven courses for teaching and hands-on training of the graduates to satisfy the employers’ requirement is one of the goals.
