April 21\u201325, 2025, Dr. Nazrin Abd Aziz and MPhil students Muhammad Shawal Shafie and Nur Hazwani Izazi from the Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Science, UTM, visited Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia, for a week-long research and academic exchange.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hosted by UNAIR\u2019s Center of Excellence \u2013 BIOME, the visit included hands-on lab sessions (FRAP, nitric oxide, anti-diabetic assays), a guest lecture by Dr. Nazrin on plant-based immunoglobulins, and student research presentations in a mini international seminar.<\/div>\n

Beyond the lab, the team explored Surabaya\u2019s cultural landmarks and the stunning Gunung Bromo, making the trip a rich blend of science, culture, and connection.<\/div>\n

For Shawal and Hazwani, it was their first international academic experience. For both UTM and UNAIR, it marked another step in strengthening cross-border collaboration in science and innovation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
