On 8 November 2025<\/strong>, the Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), hosted the FS Alumni Homecoming 2025<\/strong> at Le Grandeur Palm Resort, Senai, Johor. The event brought together 120 participants<\/strong>, including alumni, final-year students, lecturers, and staff from across the faculty, in a meaningful celebration aimed at strengthening ties between alumni and the academic community.<\/p>\n The program was officiated by Tuan Haji Armadi bin Ahmad<\/strong>, Deputy Registrar of UTMAlumni, and graced with welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shafinaz Shahir<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Science.<\/p>\n Strengthen bonds between students, alumni, and staff of the Faculty of Science<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Provide a platform for knowledge and experience exchange between alumni and students<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Create opportunities for collaboration, professional support, and industry networking<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Reinforce UTM\u2019s identity and instill pride in the institution<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Representing the Department of Biosciences<\/strong>, alumnus Mr. Rezal Syadanie bin Abd Rani<\/strong> delivered an engaging and heartfelt address. A graduate of UTM\u2019s Bachelor of Science in Industrial Biology (Batch 1997)<\/strong>, Mr. Rezal is now a seasoned Safety, Environmental, and Process Engineer<\/strong> with over 16 years of experience<\/strong> in the oil & gas, petrochemical, and automotive industries<\/strong>. He currently serves as a Senior Registered Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Officer<\/strong> in Kertih<\/strong>, overseeing supply base management, warehousing, and logistics operations.<\/p>\n Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Rezal shared personal reflections and fun facts that resonated with the audience. A passionate advocate for lifelong learning, he encouraged students to \u201cstay curious, stay humble, and never stop upgrading yourself \u2014 that’s the true formula for success.<\/strong>\u201d His multifaceted interests\u2014from coffee and music to interior design and freelance graphic work\u2014painted a vibrant picture of a UTM graduate who continues to grow both professionally and personally.<\/p>\n In addition to Biosciences, distinguished alumni also spoke on behalf of other departments:<\/p>\n Mr. Rico Tan Zen Chong<\/strong> \u2013 Department of Physics<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Mr. David Foo<\/strong> \u2013 Department of Chemistry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ts.
