Iskandar Puteri, 6 December 2025<\/strong> \u2014 The Knowledge Transfer Program: Organic Farming Methods and Biodiversity<\/em> was successfully held at Edible Park, Iskandar Puteri, strengthening community awareness of sustainable agriculture and the importance of biodiversity in urban ecosystems.<\/p>\n The initiative served as a vital platform to enhance knowledge and encourage practices that contribute to healthier and more resilient cities. Organized through the collaboration of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)<\/strong>, Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri (MBIP)<\/strong>, Yayasan Penyayang Iskandar Puteri (YPIP)<\/strong>, Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB)<\/strong>, and the Iskandar Puteri Agriculturalist Community (IPAC)<\/strong>, the program brought together academic expertise, community engagement, and industry support to advance sustainable urban farming.<\/p>\n We\u2019re excited to share the poster and video highlights from the program, which captured the vibrant activities and community spirit of the day. The Department of Biosciences, <\/strong>led byDr. Azman bin Abd Samad <\/strong> together with students from the 2SSCYH Biology Programme<\/em>, contributed actively through demonstrations, knowledge sharing, and hands-on engagement. Their participation supported efforts to strengthen sustainable urban agriculture and raise biodiversity awareness among the local community.<\/p>\n Participants gained practical exposure to organic farming techniques while reinforcing collective commitment to positioning Iskandar Puteri as a green, inclusive, and resilient city. The program aligns with the city\u2019s recognition under the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC)<\/strong>, which emphasizes lifelong learning and the development of knowledge-based communities.<\/p>\n
