Congratulations Dr. Chong Chun Shiong on successfully securing the Southeast Asia Small Scale Research Partnerships-Newton-Ungku Omar Fund (UK-SEA-NUOF) 2016, for his proposal on \u201cSustainable production of compost, biofuels and chemicals from oil palm residues”. The amount awarded is MYR453,700.<\/p>\n

This Newton Fund application is a collective effort from UTM members as follows: Prof. Datin Dr. Zaharah Ibrahim (FBME), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Madihah Md Salleh (FBME), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zainura Zainon Noor (Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Water Security), Dr. Adibah Yahya (FBME) and Dr Goh Kian Mau (FBME), together with the UK partners: Prof. Neil Bruce, Prof. Simon McQueen-Mason from the University of York, and Prof. Lindsay Stringer from the University of Leeds, UK.<\/p>\n
