In conjunction with Research Month@FS, the Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), successfully hosted Book Workshop Series 1: Research Book – From Lab to Literature on 23 July 2025 (Wednesday), from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at UTM Helixs, C17.
This full-day workshop was designed to guide academics and researchers through the process of translating their scientific findings into impactful and publishable research books. The session featured two distinguished speakers:
🔹 Prof. Dr. Rosli Hussin, a veteran academic with extensive experience in scientific publishing, and
🔹 Assoc. Prof. Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek, an expert in applied materials science and the Acting Director of CSNano and Deputy Dean (Research, Innovation & Development), Faculty of Science, UTM.
Participants were given insights into effective strategies for structuring research narratives, identifying book-worthy findings, and navigating the publication process. The workshop emphasized the importance of academic storytelling, citation integrity, and aligning research with global readership.
This initiative aligns with UTM’s goal of nurturing a scholarly ecosystem that encourages research visibility and academic impact beyond journal publications.
