JOHOR BAHRU, 5 August 2025 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), continued its Research Month@FS activities with the successful organisation of Book Workshop Series 2, themed “Book Chapter – From Planning to Practice”. The workshop was held at UTM Helixs, Block C17, and ran from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
This engaging session brought together academic staff interested in contributing to scholarly book chapters and expanding their publication portfolio. The workshop featured three experienced facilitators:

Participants were guided through the end-to-end process of writing a book chapter — from conceptual planning, topic selection, and proposal preparation to writing strategies and final submission. The facilitators also shared tips for overcoming common challenges in collaborative writing and highlighted the importance of aligning book contributions with research impact and visibility.
The Book Workshop Series is part of the Faculty’s efforts to build a culture of high-quality academic writing and foster meaningful knowledge sharing through scholarly publications.
