JOHOR BAHRU – As part of the Research Month@FS initiative, the Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), successfully hosted the Publication Workshop Series 4 on 28 August 2025. The workshop, themed “Peer-Researcher – Get Published in An Indexed Journal”, was held at UTM Helixs and ran from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
The session was led by Prof. Dr. Sharidan Shafie from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, a highly respected academic with extensive experience in scholarly publishing. Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, he provided insightful guidance on navigating the process of publishing in indexed journals—covering aspects such as manuscript preparation, responding to reviewers, and aligning with journal scopes and expectations.
The workshop aimed to equip UTM researchers—especially early-career academics and postgraduate students—with the practical tools and strategies necessary to enhance their publication success rate and contribute meaningfully to the university’s research impact.
This event reflects the Faculty of Science’s commitment to nurturing a strong research culture and supporting its community in achieving scholarly excellence, in line with UTM’s aspiration to become a globally renowned research university.
