JOHOR BAHRU, 12 August 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), successfully hosted Grant Roadshow 1<\/strong>, an initiative under Research Month@FS<\/em>, with a strong focus on building research capacity and enhancing grant application success among faculty members and researchers.<\/p>\n Themed around Sharing Sessions and Proposal Workshops: FS International Grants & Malaysia Toray Science Foundation<\/strong>, the event was held in hybrid mode at UTM Helixs, C17, Faculty of Science<\/strong>, attracting active participation from researchers across different departments.<\/p>\n The full-day program, which ran from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM<\/strong>, featured insightful sessions delivered by experienced researchers and grant recipients, namely:<\/p>\n Madam Nur Fatimah Marwar<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Dr. Fariza Hanim Suhailin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aemi Syazwani Abdul Keyon<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Dr. Juan Matmin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Dr. Nur Izzati Mohd Noh<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Dr. Mohamad Hamdi Zainal Abidin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n These speakers shared their expertise on strategies for crafting competitive grant proposals, aligning research objectives with funding priorities, and overcoming common challenges faced during the application process. Practical tips on proposal structuring, budget preparation, and evaluation criteria were also highlighted, providing participants with a comprehensive guide to improving their chances of securing research grants.<\/p>\n In addition to the sharing sessions, the interactive workshop component encouraged two-way discussions and peer engagement, allowing participants to ask questions, clarify procedures, and exchange ideas with fellow researchers. This interactive approach not only deepened participants\u2019 understanding of proposal development but also fostered a stronger sense of collaboration within the research community of the Faculty of Science.<\/p>\n The roadshow was designed as part of a broader strategy under Research Month@FS<\/em> to cultivate a culture of excellence in research and innovation.
