JOHOR BAHRU, 12 August 2025 \u2013 The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), successfully hosted the Publication Workshop Series 3: Write It Right \u2013 Scientific Paper Writing Bootcamp<\/em>, held at the Al-Dinawari Seminar Room, T02.<\/p>\n This full-day workshop, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featured Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahir Shamsir Bin Omar<\/strong> from the Department of Biosciences as the invited speaker. With extensive experience in research and publication, Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahir guided participants through effective strategies for structuring, drafting, and refining manuscripts for scientific journals.<\/p>\n The program emphasized key aspects of academic writing, including clarity, coherence, impactful presentation of results, and compliance with journal requirements. Participants were also introduced to practical tips on improving research visibility, enhancing publication success rates, and avoiding common pitfalls in manuscript preparation.<\/p>\n As part of Research Month@FS<\/strong>, the workshop reflects the Faculty\u2019s commitment to empowering researchers with the necessary tools to advance their scholarly contributions. It also provided an engaging platform for knowledge sharing, peer learning, and constructive feedback in a bootcamp-style environment.<\/p>\n The event was well-attended by postgraduate students and academic staff across various disciplines, highlighting the importance of developing strong scientific writing skills to ensure impactful dissemination of research outcomes.<\/p>\n
