Johor Bahru, 19 August 2025 \u2013 As part of Research Month@FS<\/strong>, the Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), held an Informative Talks session<\/strong> focusing on publishing strategies and effective scientific writing for high-impact journals. The event, conducted at UTM and accessible via Webex, was aimed at equipping researchers and postgraduate students with essential skills in producing quality manuscripts for the Web of Science (WoS)<\/strong> indexed journals.<\/p>\n The session featured two distinguished speakers, Prof. Dr. Suhairul Hashim<\/strong> and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roswanira Abdul Wahab<\/strong>, who shared their expertise on the theme \u201cPublishing Smart & Writing Right: Mastering Review and Research Articles for Web of Science.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Prof. Dr. Suhairul Hashim highlighted strategies for preparing manuscripts that meet international standards, including proper structuring of review and research articles, selecting appropriate journals, and addressing common pitfalls that lead to rejection. Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roswanira Abdul Wahab emphasized the importance of writing with clarity, originality, and consistency to enhance visibility, citation impact, and academic reputation.<\/p>\n The Informative Talks<\/strong> provided participants with practical tips, real-world examples, and interactive discussions, enabling them to improve the quality of their publications and align their research outputs with global standards. The program reflects the Faculty of Science\u2019s continuous efforts to foster research excellence and strengthen publication performance<\/strong>, in line with UTM\u2019s vision of becoming a leading global university.<\/p>\n
