JOHOR BAHRU \u2013 As part of the Research Month@FS<\/strong> initiative, the Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), successfully hosted the Publication Workshop Series 4<\/strong> on 28 August 2025. The workshop, themed “Peer-Researcher \u2013 Get Published in An Indexed Journal”<\/em>, was held at UTM Helixs and ran from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.<\/p>\n

The session was led by Prof. Dr. Sharidan Shafie<\/strong> from the Department of Mathematical Sciences<\/strong>, a highly respected academic with extensive experience in scholarly publishing. Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, he provided insightful guidance on navigating the process of publishing in indexed journals\u2014covering aspects such as manuscript preparation, responding to reviewers, and aligning with journal scopes and expectations.<\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to equip UTM researchers\u2014especially early-career academics and postgraduate students\u2014with the practical tools and strategies necessary to enhance their publication success rate and contribute meaningfully to the university\u2019s research impact.<\/p>\n

This event reflects the Faculty of Science\u2019s commitment to nurturing a strong research culture and supporting its community in achieving scholarly excellence, in line with UTM\u2019s aspiration to become a globally renowned research university.<\/p>\n
