Faculty, researcher, and student at all levels who are working with data, are invited to come and find out how you could use Wolfram Mathematica to easily compute and deploy your data with fully interactive models using a combination of powerful computation, statistics and optimization, instant interactivity with built-in live data.

Description of workshop:
By attending this workshop, the participants will learn the concepts and skill on how to solve big data problem of a grand challenge application. Many opportunities for enhancing the parallel algorithm, domain and function decomposition, mapping strategy of large scale simulation, message passing paradigm, high performance computing architecture will be described. The aims of this workshop is to build the understanding about big data simulation, how to handle the huge simulation and how to use the HPC software.
The required hardware is laptop. Thus, the participants are advised to bring their own laptop. The required software is PVM, CUDA and MDCS. However, this workshop will provide the live CD to the participants.

This workshop introduces participants to basic theories and applications of density functional theory (DFT) in materials science. In the workshop participants will learn and use Quantum Espresso, a free, open-source and pseudopotential based DFT package to do some simple calculations on structural, electronic and optical properties of crystalline materials in linux environment.

Description of workshop:
This workshop will be using SCILAB in an embedded system for the topic of Deep Learning & Machine Learning. SCILAB has many applications in the field of embedded systems. Multiple application examples and exercises will be explained during the workshop. It allows participants to reflect and to make progress on adapting workshop content to their own needs.
