Chemical management at the\u00a0<\/span>Faculty of Science,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>involves the proper handling, storage, usage, and disposal of chemicals to ensure safety, compliance with regulations, and environmental sustainability. It follows\u00a0Malaysian safety regulations, such as\u00a0<\/span>Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Environmental Quality Act 1974<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

a) Assist the Laboratory Manager in planning the needs and purchase of chemical substances at the PTJ.<\/p>\n

b) Prepare cost estimates, lists of common and special chemicals, and procurement support documentation (EUD Form).<\/p>\n

c) Manage supplier records and procurement of chemicals according to university procedures<\/p>\n

a) Receive chemical substances from the CMU or approved suppliers.<\/p>\n

b) Verify that the chemicals received are accurate as approved in terms of type, quantity, and specification.<\/p>\n

c) Review and verify receipt documents such as Delivery Orders (DO), invoices, and claim forms.<\/p>\n

b) Ensure labeling, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and store layouts are organized and accessible.<\/p>\n

c) Segregate expired, damaged, or unused chemicals to designated areas.<\/p>\n
