RGMO concentrates on the mathematical aspect of the development and analysis of algorithms for optimization of continuous, discrete and stochastic systems. The outcome of the researches in this group would be efficient, faster, reliable and mathematically sound tools (algorithms) which can be used in the industries for the purpose of optimization. To date, the group has developed various algorithms for optimization of dynamical systems with a variety of constraints. There is also a strong interest in how OR and optimization can be performed more successfully in solving complex practical problems including facility location, facility layout design, scheduling, healthcare planning, vehicle routing, network routing, financial and allocation of scarce resources.
