Quality and Strategy is a function under the Quality and Risk Management (QRiM) and Office of Strategy and Corporate Affairs (OSCA) of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. This function was established to facilitate, implement and monitor efforts by both QRiM and OSCA. These efforts are bridged through Faculty of Science Assistant Dean, who heads the quality and strategy function at the Faculty. This function is generally responsible for managing and monitoring the affairs of strategy and quality at the Faculty in line with the vision, mission and objectives of the University.
Quality Management Faculty of Science
QUALITY
Coordinating quality activities at the Faculty and ensure standards and compliance with academic quality, research and services, ensure updating of data and documentation relating to quality and governance and ensure compliance with risk management policies.
STRATEGY
Developing faculty strategic plans according to university strategic plans, launching initiatives and targets, monitoring implementation and achievement, and reporting.
ACCREDITATION
Implementing and coordinating accreditation process in accordance with established accreditation body standards on academic programs and laboratories. Faculty of Science has also developed an internal quality management system (Sistem Pengurusan Kualiti ie. SPK-FS) which sets processes and procedures required to execute academic, research and services.
ACTIVITIES
The Faculty of Science UTM to create the next generation of leaders who are ready to face changing dynamics.
