Dr. Mohammad Izat Emir Zulkifly Wins Silver Medal for Advanced Mathematical Modeling Research at SIRAC 2024 II
UTM Researcher Recognized for Breakthrough in Handling Uncertainty with Neutrosophic Bézier Surface Model
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) continues to make strides in cutting-edge research, as Dr. Mohammad Izat Emir Zulkifly from the Department of Mathematical Sciences was awarded the Silver Medal at the Semarak International Research Article Competition (SIRAC) 2024 II. His award-winning article, titled “Approximation of Interval Type-2 Neutrosophic Bézier Surface Model for Uncertainty Data,” focuses on developing new mathematical models that address uncertainty in complex data sets.
Dr. Izat Emir’s research introduces an advanced Interval Type-2 Neutrosophic Bézier Surface Model, which improves the ability to model, manage, and interpret data characterized by uncertainty. Neutrosophic logic, a generalized form of fuzzy logic, is incorporated to handle the indeterminate and inconsistent aspects of data, making the model a powerful tool in fields like engineering, data science, and artificial intelligence.
The recognition of this research at SIRAC 2024 II highlights the innovative approach taken by Dr. Izat Emir in expanding the capabilities of traditional Bézier surface models, ensuring better accuracy and applicability in real-world scenarios where data uncertainty is a key challenge.
The Faculty of Science congratulates Dr. Mohammad Izat Emir Zulkifly for his outstanding contribution to the field of mathematical modeling and for receiving the Silver Medal at this prestigious competition.
