September 11, 2024, Kuala Lumpur – Dr. Lim Yeou Jiann from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), has been awarded the Best Oral Presenter at the International Seminar on Mathematics in Industry 2024 (ISMI2024). The prestigious event took place from September 9 to 11 at the Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, gathering global experts in mathematical applications for industrial innovation.

Dr. Lim’s winning presentation, titled “Analysis of Carreau Fluids in Magnetohydrodynamic Natural Convection with Biot Heat Flux and Injection/Suction Effects,” explored the complex dynamics of Carreau fluids under various conditions. His research provides new perspectives in fluid dynamics, especially in magnetohydrodynamic applications, which have potential implications for engineering and industrial processes.
