Johor Bahru, October 2024 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) celebrates a significant achievement as a team from the Faculty of Science is awarded the prestigious Best GUCI Award Industry during the Synergistic Government-University-Community-Industry (GUCI) Sustainable Collaboration Seminar 2024 (GUCI 2024).
The project, titled “Ternakan Kaedah Lestari Memangkin Industri Ternakan Negara Melalui Aplikasi Aditif Organik TRYP!@3P Berasaskan Herba,” showcased an innovative, sustainable method to boost the livestock industry in Malaysia using herbal-based organic additives. The project was a collaborative effort led by Associate Professor Dr. Madihah Mohd Salleh and Dr. Adibah Yahya, both from UTM’s Department of Biosciences, in partnership with Mr. Ahmad Azhar Othman of Dahlia Duta Utama Sdn. Bhd.
This recognition further underscores UTM’s commitment to fostering impactful collaborations between academia, industry, and the community. The breakthrough project is expected to significantly contribute to the development of sustainable livestock farming practices across the country.
