The Faculty of Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has once again demonstrated its excellence in research through the achievement of several notable grants for 2024. Researchers from the faculty have successfully secured two significant research grants: the UTM Encouragement Research Grant 2024 (UTMER 2024) and the UTM Fundamental Research Grant 2024 (UTMFR 2024).
- UTM Encouragement Research Grant 2024 (UTMER 2024)
A total of RM205,700 was awarded to three outstanding researchers: - Dr. Najaa Mustaffa from the Department of Chemistry
- Dr. Norshahirah Mohamad Saidi from the Department of Physics
- Dr. Suzarina Ahmed Sukri from the Department of Mathematical Sciences
This grant aims to support and motivate early-career researchers in their pursuit of innovative research projects within the faculty. - UTM Fundamental Research Grant 2024 (UTMFR 2024)

These achievements underscore the faculty’s commitment to fostering a vibrant research culture and delivering impactful scientific contributions, both nationally and internationally. The total funding amount secured through these grants amounts to RM1,934,818.
