The Faculty of Science is proud to announce that Prof. Madya Dr. Zaitul Marlizawati Zainuddin from the Department of Mathematical Sciences has been awarded the prestigious UTM Digital-Infused Research Grant (UTM-DIR) for her project titled “Development of Volatile Commodity Forecast Prototype.”

This significant research initiative is supported by a highly accomplished team, including:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arifah Bahar
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norhaiza Ahmad
  • Dr. Nur Arina Bazilah Aziz

all of whom are also from the Department of Mathematical Sciences.

The project aims to create a cutting-edge forecast prototype to address challenges in the volatile commodity market, showcasing the faculty’s continuous commitment to innovative and impactful research. The research grant totals an impressive RM54,200, with the project duration set from 15 November 2024 to 14 November 2025.

This accomplishment underscores the faculty’s vision of driving innovation and excellence in science, aligning with UTM’s mission to foster solutions that address real-world challenges.
