JOHOR BAHRU, 5 May 2025 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), in collaboration with SR Environment Sdn. Bhd., successfully conducted a full-day workshop titled “Environmental Sampling: Principles & Hands-On Workshop” on Monday, 5th May 2025. The workshop took place at the HELIX Smart Classroom (C17-Ground Floor) and Tasik Ilmu UTM.
Organised under the banner of ICOWOBAS 2025 and the Separation Science and Technology Research Group (SepSTeCH), the workshop aimed to provide participants with both theoretical understanding and practical experience in environmental sampling techniques. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and environmental professionals.
Ts. ChM. Dr. Faizuan Abdullah led the session, offering in-depth knowledge and practical insights into sampling methods, tools, and protocols critical for environmental monitoring and analysis. Participants engaged in field sampling exercises at Tasik Ilmu, applying real-time sampling methods guided by experts.
The workshop received positive feedback for its interactive approach and was seen as a valuable platform for capacity building in environmental science and analytical practices.
