JOHOR BAHRU, 6–7 May 2025 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), in collaboration with Shimadzu Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., successfully hosted a two-day workshop titled “HPLC Theory and Practical Workshop with Shimadzu Malaysia”. The event was organised by JK UVIS KIMIA and held in conjunction with ICOWOBAS 2025.
The workshop commenced on 6th May 2025 with a theory and technology session at the Chemistry Digital Laboratory, Block C10, where participants were introduced to the fundamentals and latest innovations in High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The session was led by experts from Shimadzu Malaysia, providing insights into instrumentation, method development, and real-world applications.
The second part of the workshop focused on hands-on training and took place on 6–7 May 2025 at the GCMS and LCMS Room, Block C19. Participants engaged in direct operation of HPLC instruments, enhancing their analytical skills through guided practice with Shimadzu’s advanced technologies.
The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students, researchers, and technical staff, aiming to strengthen analytical capabilities in the field of chemistry and life sciences.
