SEMARANG, INDONESIA, July 2025 – Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) proudly congratulates Prof. Dr. Nor Haniza Sarmin, a distinguished mathematician from the Faculty of Science, on her recent appointment as a Visiting Professor at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), Indonesia.

During her visit to the Department of Mathematics at UNDIP, Prof. Nor Haniza delivered an academic talk titled “Computational Analysis of Topological Indices in Algebraic Graphs Derived from Groups and Rings”. The lecture highlighted advanced computational approaches in mathematical graph theory, particularly focusing on the interplay between algebraic structures and graph-theoretical indices—an area in which she has made substantial contributions.

The event, which took place in a formal seminar setting, was well attended by students and faculty members eager to engage in high-level discourse and collaboration. Her appointment strengthens the academic and research ties between UTM and UNDIP and serves as a platform for future collaborations in mathematical sciences, research mobility, and joint publications.

Prof. Nor Haniza’s expertise in algebra, graph theory, and mathematical modeling has earned her a respected reputation both locally and internationally. Her role as Visiting Professor further reflects her commitment to regional academic development and cross-border knowledge sharing.

UTM extends its heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Nor Haniza Sarmin for this recognition and looks forward to more impactful academic contributions through this partnership.
