The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), proudly congratulates Dr. Taufiq Khairi Ahmad Khairuddin for winning a Gold Medal at the Johor International Innovation, Invention Competition and Symposium (JIIIS) 2025.
His project, titled “A MATLAB Application to Visualize and Characterize a Spherical Cap-Shaped Object,” demonstrated an innovative use of computational tools to improve mathematical visualization and object characterization. The MATLAB-based application offers users a clear, interactive means to understand complex 3D geometrical shapes, which has significant implications for both educational and applied mathematical fields.
This recognition highlights Dr. Taufiq’s dedication to advancing the use of technology in mathematical sciences and reinforces the Faculty of Science’s commitment to promoting impactful research and innovation.
