Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement by the Department of Physics for clinching three prestigious awards at the 27th Industrial Art and Technology Exhibition and Competition (INATEX 2025).

Led by Prof. Dr. Suhairul Hashim, the innovative project titled “Wireless Transmission System for Radiation Portal Monitoring (MYRPM)” secured the following accolades:

  • 💼 Special Award (Commercialisation)

The MYRPM system, a locally-developed wireless solution for radiation portal monitoring, is a breakthrough innovation aimed at enhancing national radiation safety infrastructure. It has wide applications in border security, critical facility protection, and public safety. Its strength lies not only in its technological advancement but also in its readiness for commercial deployment.
