JOHOR BAHRU, 18 November 2025 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), is pleased to congratulate Dr. Azizi bin Rosli from the Department of Mathematical Sciences for securing a Geran Penyelidik Baharu worth RM20,000. This award reflects UTM’s strong support for frontier research and the growing impact of mathematical sciences in solving complex, real-world problems.

Dr. Azizi’s project, titled “Omega-limit Set of Lotka-Volterra Operators with Non-Isolated Fixed Points on Lower Dimensional Simplex,” focuses on advancing the theoretical understanding of dynamical systems, particularly those rooted in the well-known Lotka-Volterra model. The study explores the behaviour of systems with non-isolated fixed points, providing deeper insights into stability, long-term dynamics, and mathematical structures that can influence fields such as ecology, population modelling, and nonlinear analysis.

This achievement reinforces the Faculty of Science’s commitment to nurturing high-quality research talent capable of contributing significant theoretical and applied advancements.
