Malang, Indonesia, 12 February 2026 – The Department of Biology, FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Malang proudly hosted a Guest Lecture titled “Process and Tips of Excellent Scientific and Technical Writing” featuring Assoc. Prof. Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
The lecture, held at Aula FMIPA (B20, Level 2), brought together undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as academic staff, to gain insights into effective strategies for producing high-quality scientific manuscripts and technical reports. The session focused on structuring research papers, improving clarity and coherence, selecting appropriate journals, and avoiding common pitfalls in academic writing.
As Deputy Dean (Research, Innovation and Development), Faculty of Science, Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam shared practical experiences drawn from his extensive involvement in research supervision, journal publications, editorial work, and international collaborations. The interactive session also included discussions on publication ethics, research impact, and strategies for enhancing visibility in indexed journals.
The invitation reflects the strong and growing academic collaboration between UTM and Universitas Negeri Malang, particularly in research capacity building and postgraduate development. Such engagements strengthen regional partnerships and promote knowledge exchange between Malaysia and Indonesia.
