The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), is pleased to invite academic staff, researchers and postgraduate students to participate in Book Workshop Series 1, organised in conjunction with FS Research Month 2026.
Entitled “Book Chapter Writing Workshop: From Planning to Publication,” the workshop aims to provide participants with practical guidance on developing a well-structured book chapter and managing the writing process from the initial planning stage to publication.

The workshop will introduce participants to the essential stages of book chapter preparation, including identifying an appropriate topic, developing a clear chapter structure, organising relevant literature, improving academic writing and preparing a manuscript for publication.
Participants will also gain useful insights into maintaining coherence, presenting information effectively and addressing common challenges encountered during the book-writing and publication process.
This workshop provides an excellent opportunity for researchers and aspiring authors to strengthen their academic writing skills and transform their research knowledge into a publishable scholarly book chapter.
All interested members of the Faculty of Science community are encouraged to participate.
