JOHOR BAHRU, 1 October 2026 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), proudly congratulates Dr. Nurhafizah Hasim from the Department of Physics on being selected as a recipient of the APEC Scientist Invitation Program to Korea 2026.
Through this prestigious international programme, Dr. Nurhafizah will undertake a research placement at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 5 October to 29 December 2026.
Her selection reflects the growing international recognition of UTM researchers and provides an important platform for strengthening research collaboration, knowledge exchange and scientific networking between Malaysia and Korea. The programme will also enable her to engage with researchers at KIST and gain valuable exposure within an internationally renowned research environment.
The achievement is aligned with UTM’s aspiration under UTM ASCEND 2030 to strengthen global research engagement, develop internationally connected researchers and enhance the university’s contribution to high-impact research and innovation.
