JOHOR BAHRU, 1 October 2026 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhainiah Mohd Ali from the Department of Mathematical Sciences for receiving the Best Manuscript Award at the 33rd National Symposium of Mathematical Sciences (SKSM33).
The award recognised her manuscript entitled “The Cyclic Order Product Prime Graphs and Deep Enhanced Power Graphs of Some Nonabelian Metabelian Groups with Their Properties.”
The research contributes to the field of pure mathematics, particularly group theory and algebraic graph theory. It explores graph structures associated with nonabelian metabelian groups and their mathematical properties, contributing to a deeper understanding of the relationships between algebraic structures and graph-based representations.
The 33rd National Symposium of Mathematical Sciences (SKSM33), held from 14 to 15 September 2026, brought together researchers and scholars in mathematical sciences to share research findings, exchange ideas and advance developments across various areas of mathematics.
Receiving the Best Manuscript Award highlights the quality of research undertaken by researchers from the Department of Mathematical Sciences and further strengthens the Faculty of Science’s research excellence in fundamental mathematics.
The achievement also reflects UTM’s commitment to advancing high-quality fundamental research and scholarly excellence in line with the aspirations of UTM ASCEND 2030.
