Assoc. Prof. Dr. Madihah Md Salleh from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has secured the Geran Kursi Premier Sarawak for the project “Integrated Biorefinery Strategy for Sustainable Management of Pineapple Waste into High-Value Products”, funded at RM 371,056 from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026.

The Faculty of Science at UTM hopes this project will enhance research and innovation outputs, specifically in sustainable technologies, and inspire similar interdisciplinary projects, contributing to UTM’s goal of addressing pressing environmental challenges through science and innovation.
