JOHOR BAHRU, 1 October 2026 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), congratulates Prof. Dr. Nor Haniza Sarmin and Dr. Hazzirah Izzati Mat Hassim from the Department of Mathematical Sciences for receiving the Best Manuscript Award at the 33rd National Symposium of Mathematical Sciences (SKSM33).
The award was presented for their manuscript entitled “On the Energy of the Non-Normal Cyclic Subgroup Digraphs of Dihedral Groups.”
Their work contributes to research in pure mathematics, particularly in the area of algebraic graph theory, by investigating mathematical properties associated with subgroup digraphs of dihedral groups. The recognition highlights the quality and significance of mathematical research undertaken by researchers at the Faculty of Science, UTM.
The 33rd National Symposium of Mathematical Sciences, held from 14 to 15 September 2026, provides an important platform for researchers, academics and students to exchange knowledge and present developments across various areas of mathematical sciences.
