JOHOR BAHRU, 2 October 2026 – The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), congratulates Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. Aemi Syazwani Abdul Keyon on her appointment under the Adjunct Professor Programme at Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia.
The programme, which runs from August to November 2026, strengthens international academic and research collaboration between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universitas Brawijaya (UB), particularly in the field of analytical chemistry.
Under the programme, Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. Aemi Syazwani collaborates with Prof. Dr. Hermin Sulistyarti of Universitas Brawijaya through a research collaboration entitled “International Academic Collaboration in Analytical Chemistry: Integrating Research, Teaching, and Scientific Networking.”
The collaboration integrates three important dimensions of international academic engagement: joint research, teaching and scientific networking. Through these activities, the programme provides opportunities for knowledge exchange, sharing of expertise and the development of stronger research connections between academics and students from both institutions.
The initiative is also expected to strengthen future opportunities for collaborative research, joint publications, academic mobility and other international activities in analytical and environmental chemistry.
This appointment reflects the growing international recognition of Faculty of Science researchers and supports UTM’s commitment to expanding strategic global partnerships and research visibility in line with the aspirations of UTM ASCEND 2030.
