JOHOR BAHRU, 12 March 2025 \u2013 Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) continues to lead impactful community-driven research as Ts. ChM. Dr. Faizuan Bin Abdullah<\/strong> from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science<\/strong>, secures RM110,000<\/strong> in funding from the Dana Program Sejahtera Komuniti Madani (SejaTi MADANI)<\/strong> initiative.<\/p>\n The awarded project, titled “Penambahbaikan Mobiliti Penternakan Kerang dan Penghasilan Produk Hiliran Baharu Iaitu Kerang Tanpa Kulit Sejuk Beku dan Sambal Kerang Dari Estet Kerang Mukim Ayer Baloi, Pontian, Johor”<\/strong>, focuses on enhancing the mobility of shellfish farming and developing new downstream products<\/strong>. This initiative is expected to increase productivity, improve seafood processing methods, and create value-added products such as frozen de-shelled shellfish and sambal kerang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n This research aligns with Malaysia\u2019s Madani Economy framework<\/strong>, aiming to uplift local communities through sustainable aquaculture practices and innovative food technology<\/strong>. By introducing advanced techniques in shellfish farming and improving product accessibility<\/strong>, the project will benefit the local economy and support small-scale fisheries in Johor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Faculty of Science, UTM, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Faizuan<\/strong> for his dedication to impactful research and community empowerment.
