The UTM team engaged in productive discussions with key academic figures from UB, including Dr. Husnul Khotimah<\/strong> (Vice Dean of General Field and Financial), Dr. Shahdevi Nandar Kurniawan<\/strong> (Vice Dean of Student Affairs), Dr. Happy Permatasari<\/strong>, and Prof. Dr. Agustina<\/strong> from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya.<\/p>\n Key Agenda Points:<\/strong><\/p>\n This visit marks an important milestone in strengthening the partnership between UTM and UB, advancing research in medical science<\/strong>, particularly in the areas of nanotechnology<\/strong> and product safety evaluation<\/strong>. Discussions were held on conducting skin irritation tests<\/strong> on animal models to evaluate prototype products developed from PDF2<\/strong>. These tests are critical for assessing the safety and effectiveness of the prototypes.<\/li>\n
The potential inflammatory effects<\/strong> of the prototype products were also discussed, ensuring that they meet safety standards before progressing to the next phase of development.<\/li>\n
UTM and UB lecturers are co-authoring a book chapter<\/strong> titled Nanotechnology in Medical Science<\/em>. This project highlights the interdisciplinary collaboration between the institutions, focusing on the role of nanotechnology in medical advancements.<\/li>\n
The delegation toured UB\u2019s animal testing facility<\/strong>, where ongoing biomedical research is conducted. This visit provided valuable insights into UB\u2019s capabilities, laying the groundwork for future joint research initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
