Bali, Indonesia, 15\u201318 September 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), through the Faculty of Science, has further strengthened its international partnership with Udayana University (UNUD), Bali, following the official handover of a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a series of academic activities.<\/p>\n UTM was represented by Prof. Fahrul Zaman Huyop<\/strong> and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roswanira Ab. Wahab<\/strong>, Faculty of Science. The MoU was formally received by Prof. Dr. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, witnessed by faculty members and representatives from the Vice Rector\u2019s Office for Planning, Collaboration, and Information.<\/p>\n In his address, Prof. I Made Anom underscored that academic collaborations should not be confined to research alone but also extend to teaching and learning initiatives. He emphasized the importance of joint programmes, staff and student exchange, expertise sharing, and postgraduate co-supervision as outlined in the MoU.<\/p>\n Prof. Fahrul also held discussions with Prof. Dr. Ir. R. Nengah Sujaya<\/strong>, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, focusing on enhancing ongoing and future academic programmes. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation through CONNECT 2025 (Collaborative Outreach for International Research Networking)<\/strong>, an initiative where UTM is actively engaged alongside UNUD scholars.<\/p>\n Beyond the Faculty of Science, UTM\u2019s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering<\/strong> has also been collaborating with UNUD through activities such as IE Xplore Bali 2025<\/strong> and the International Community Service<\/strong> programme, reflecting the expanding breadth of the UTM\u2013UNUD partnership.<\/p>\n A highlight of the visit was an invited lecture delivered by Prof. Fahrul on \u201cIntegrated Approaches in Nutrigenomics of Southeast Asian Honey for Functional Food Development\u201d<\/em> at UNUD\u2019s Main Library, Bukit Jimbaran Campus, on 17 September 2025. The lecture, attended by over 100 participants from various faculties, was part of the Udayana University Senior Fellowship (UNISERF)<\/strong> programme, which had previously supported Prof. Fahrul\u2019s research attachment at UNUD in 2023.<\/p>\n The four-day visit concluded with consultations with postgraduate students, MoU-related discussions, and future planning sessions. Both UTM and UNUD reaffirmed their strong academic ties and expressed optimism for expanding collaborative programmes in research, teaching, and academic mobility in the years ahead.<\/p>\n
