The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), proudly congratulates Dr. Mohamad Shahiir Saidin<\/strong> for winning a Gold Medal<\/strong> at the Johor International Innovation, Invention Competition and Symposium (JIIIS) 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n His project, titled \u201cSite Selection for Solar PV Farm using ELECTRE in Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM),\u201d<\/em> introduces an innovative framework for identifying optimal locations for solar photovoltaic (PV) farms. By applying the ELECTRE method within the MCDM framework, the project provides a systematic and effective decision-making model that considers environmental, economic, and technical criteria for sustainable energy development.<\/p>\n This award recognises Dr. Shahiir\u2019s commitment to renewable energy research and data-driven innovation, which supports Malaysia\u2019s sustainable energy agenda and the global shift toward green technologies.<\/p>\n The Faculty of Science is proud to celebrate this outstanding achievement, which exemplifies our dedication to innovative science for a smarter and sustainable future.<\/p>\n
