The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Mohamad Shahiir Saidin<\/strong> for winning the Silver Medal<\/strong> at the Johor International Innovation, Invention Competition and Symposium (JIIIS) 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

His project, \u201cMulti-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) in the Selection of Renewable Energy Sources \u2013 VIKOR Method,\u201d<\/em> applies the VIKOR decision-making technique to evaluate and rank alternative renewable energy sources based on multiple criteria. The method aims to support sustainable energy development through rational, structured, and transparent evaluations that balance environmental, technical, and economic factors.<\/p>\n

Dr. Shahiir\u2019s work highlights the importance of decision science in addressing complex sustainability challenges and offers practical tools to aid policymakers, researchers, and energy planners in the transition to renewable energy.<\/p>\n

This achievement reflects the Faculty of Science\u2019s dedication to research excellence and supports UTM\u2019s mission of innovating sustainable solutions for a greener future.<\/p>\n
