One of its key efforts is the implementation of the <strong data-start=\"405\" data-end=\"441\">Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP)<\/strong> titled <em data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"493\">\u201cForensic Science and Careers in Science,\u201d<\/em> led by <strong data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"542\">Associate Professor Dr. Lee Siew Ling<\/strong>. This program was designed to introduce students to the world of forensic science and inspire interest in science-related career paths.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"1076\">Running from <strong data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"730\">12 January 2024 to 31 August 2025<\/strong>, the project was funded under the <strong data-start=\"765\" data-end=\"784\">UTM KTP@Faculty<\/strong> initiative with a grant of <strong data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"823\">RM2,000<\/strong>. Despite its modest budget, the program made significant strides in educating young participants about the interdisciplinary nature of forensic science, which integrates biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics in real-life criminal investigations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1078\" data-end=\"1651\">The program featured a series of impactful activities, including a <strong data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1173\">Forensic Science Seminar<\/strong> titled <em data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1243\">\u201cHarnessing Scientific Diversity for Forensic Applications.\u201d<\/em> The seminar explored how various scientific fields contribute to evidence analysis and case-solving. One of the highlights of the program was a <strong data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1404\">career forum<\/strong>, where experts and academics shared their experiences and insights into the role of science in forensic investigation. Notably, <strong data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1554\">Dr. Koh Meng Hock<\/strong> shared his expertise on the application of physics and mathematics in solving forensic problems.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1653\" data-end=\"2019\">To further engage students, the program also included interactive <strong data-start=\"1719\" data-end=\"1747\">quizzes and Q&amp;A sessions<\/strong>, fostering curiosity and reinforcing concepts in a fun, accessible manner. These activities proved effective in not only increasing students\u2019 understanding of science but also in encouraging them to consider future careers in forensic science and related research fields.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2021\" data-end=\"2450\">Dr. Lee emphasized that this KTP initiative is a vital platform for bridging the gap between academia and the public, ensuring that scientific knowledge is accessible and impactful. The program successfully heightened awareness of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and its relevance in everyday life, while aligning with UTM\u2019s broader mission to promote high-impact education and community-driven research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2452\" data-end=\"2797\">The outcome of this project reflects positively on the Faculty of Science\u2019s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), particularly in knowledge transfer and human capital development. Salah satu program utamanya ialah <strong data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"508\">Program Pemindahan Pengetahuan (KTP)<\/strong> bertemakan <em data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"570\">\u201cSains Forensik dan Kerjaya dalam Bidang Sains,\u201d<\/em> yang diketuai oleh <strong data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"614\">PM Dr. Lee Siew Ling<\/strong>. Program ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan pelajar kepada dunia sains forensik serta memberi inspirasi terhadap kerjaya dalam bidang sains dan teknologi.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"1198\">Dilaksanakan dari <strong data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"828\">12 Januari 2024 hingga 31 Ogos 2025<\/strong>, program ini dibiayai melalui inisiatif <strong data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"888\">UTM KTP@Fakulti<\/strong> dengan jumlah geran sebanyak <strong data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"929\">RM2,000<\/strong>. Meskipun dengan dana yang sederhana, program ini telah memberikan impak besar dalam meningkatkan kefahaman peserta terhadap sains forensik yang menggabungkan pelbagai disiplin ilmu seperti biologi, kimia, fizik dan matematik dalam konteks penyiasatan jenayah sebenar.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1200\" data-end=\"1789\">Antara pengisian utama dalam program ini termasuklah <strong data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1279\">Seminar Sains Forensik<\/strong> bertajuk <em data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1345\">\u201cMenggarap Kepelbagaian Sains bagi Aplikasi Forensik.\u201d<\/em> Seminar ini meneroka bagaimana pelbagai bidang sains digunakan dalam analisis bukti dan penyelesaian kes. Satu lagi aktiviti penting ialah <strong data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1502\">forum kerjaya<\/strong>, yang menampilkan pakar dan ahli akademik yang berkongsi pengalaman mereka dalam mengaplikasikan ilmu sains dalam bidang forensik. Antara yang terlibat ialah <strong data-start=\"1661\" data-end=\"1682\">Dr. Koh Meng Hock<\/strong>, yang berkongsi kepakaran beliau tentang peranan fizik dan matematik dalam menyelesaikan masalah forensik.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1791\" data-end=\"2187\">Bagi merangsang minat peserta dengan lebih interaktif, turut diadakan <strong data-start=\"1861\" data-end=\"1889\">kuiz dan sesi soal jawab<\/strong>, yang menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih menyeronokkan dan mudah difahami. Aktiviti ini terbukti berkesan dalam menarik minat pelajar terhadap sains dan dalam masa yang sama memberi pendedahan kepada kerjaya dalam bidang penyelidikan forensik yang semakin mendapat perhatian di peringkat global.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2189\" data-end=\"2590\">Menurut PM Dr. Lee Siew Ling, inisiatif KTP ini berperanan sebagai platform penting dalam merapatkan jurang antara ilmu akademik dan komuniti, sekaligus memastikan ilmu sains dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat secara menyeluruh. Program ini turut berjaya meningkatkan kesedaran terhadap kepentingan bidang STEM (Sains, Teknologi, Kejuruteraan dan Matematik) serta aplikasinya dalam kehidupan seharian.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2592\" data-end=\"2923\">Kejayaan program ini menyumbang kepada pencapaian <strong data-start=\"2642\" data-end=\"2675\">Petunjuk Prestasi Utama (KPI)<\/strong> Fakulti Sains UTM, khususnya dalam aspek pemindahan pengetahuan dan pembangunan modal insan.
