Dr. Sheela Chandren<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"217\" data-end=\"255\">ChM. Dr. Fazira Ilyana Abdul Razak<\/strong> from the <strong data-start=\"265\" data-end=\"292\">Department of Chemistry<\/strong> for securing the <strong data-start=\"310\" data-end=\"354\">Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS)<\/strong> awarded by the <strong data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"419\">Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"424\" data-end=\"932\"><strong data-start=\"424\" data-end=\"452\">ChM. Dr. Sheela Chandren<\/strong> received <strong data-start=\"462\" data-end=\"478\">RM152,800.00<\/strong> for her project titled <em data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"688\">\u201cPhysicochemical Attributes of Titania Nanoparticles Photocatalyst Sequentially Encapsulated by Hollow Silica-Shell with pH and Thermo-Responsive Polymers for Bisphenol A Degradation.\u201d<\/em> Her research focuses on developing an innovative photocatalyst system based on titania nanoparticles, aimed at improving the degradation of Bisphenol A\u2014a harmful pollutant commonly found in plastics\u2014through advanced nanostructured materials.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"1381\">Meanwhile, <strong data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"983\">ChM. Dr. Fazira Ilyana Abdul Razak<\/strong> secured <strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1008\">RM142,800.00<\/strong> for her project entitled <em data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1195\">\u201cMechanistic Investigation of Synergistic Effects in Polyvinylpyrrolidone-Stabilized Metal-Graphene Oxide Catalysts for Electric Field-Enhanced Hydrogenation.\u201d<\/em> Her study explores the synergistic interactions in metal-graphene oxide-based nanocatalysts, targeting enhanced hydrogenation efficiency that supports sustainable energy applications.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1737\">Both projects exemplify UTM\u2019s strong research capability in <strong data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1501\">nanomaterials, catalysis, and sustainable technologies<\/strong>, reinforcing the Faculty of Science\u2019s leadership in fundamental research with real-world impact.
