Prof. ChM. Dr. Roswanira Abdul Wahab<\/strong> from the <strong data-start=\"259\" data-end=\"286\">Department of Chemistry<\/strong> for successfully securing the <strong data-start=\"317\" data-end=\"359\">Prototype Research Grant Scheme (PRGS)<\/strong> under the <strong data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"419\">Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"424\" data-end=\"665\">Dr. Roswanira was awarded <strong data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"466\">RM256,000.00<\/strong> for her project titled <em data-start=\"490\" data-end=\"663\">\u201cScale-up Development of the Nanobiobased Candida rugosa Lipase Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes as Latent Fingerprint Visualizing Reagent Prototype for Forensic Application.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"667\" data-end=\"1097\">This innovative research focuses on advancing a nanobiobased prototype that utilizes <strong data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"821\">Candida rugosa lipase immobilized on multiwalled carbon nanotubes<\/strong> to visualize latent fingerprints with high sensitivity and resolution. The developed prototype is designed for <strong data-start=\"933\" data-end=\"985\">forensic and criminal investigation applications<\/strong>, offering a more sustainable, bio-friendly, and cost-effective alternative to conventional chemical reagents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1099\" data-end=\"1497\">The project represents a critical step toward translating fundamental nanomaterial research into practical forensic technology that supports national law enforcement and security agencies. The scale-up development aims to bridge laboratory innovation with real-world implementation, aligning with the <strong data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1418\">PRGS objective<\/strong> to accelerate the commercialization readiness of promising research outputs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1499\" data-end=\"1872\">Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roswanira\u2019s achievement reflects UTM\u2019s strong research capacity in <strong data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1645\">applied nanoscience, biotechnology, and forensic chemistry<\/strong>, showcasing how interdisciplinary innovation can lead to impactful societal applications.
