Johor Bahru, 5 December 2025<\/strong> \u2014 The Department of Chemistry<\/strong>, Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia<\/span><\/span> (UTM)<\/strong> successfully organised an Industrial Talk<\/strong> titled \u201cSustainable Industry Development: The Environmental Chemistry Perspective\u201d<\/em> as part of the Faculty of Science Industrial and Innovation Showcase (SIIFS) 2025<\/strong>. The programme was held at Lecture Room C17-107, Faculty of Science, and attracted strong participation from undergraduate students.<\/p>\n The session featured an industry sharing by ChM. Ahmad Nazmi Roslan<\/strong> from SR Environment Sdn. Bhd.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, who shared practical insights on the role of environmental chemistry in supporting sustainable industrial development. His talk highlighted real-world applications, regulatory considerations, and industry challenges in managing environmental impacts, offering students valuable exposure beyond classroom theory.<\/p>\n A total of 54 students<\/strong> from the Bachelor of Science (Industrial Chemistry) with Honours programme, particularly Year 2 and Year 4 cohorts, attended the session. The programme began with an opening address by Ts. ChM. Dr. Faizuan Abdullah<\/strong>, Director of the programme, who outlined the objectives of the Industrial Talk and emphasised the importance of industry engagement in shaping future-ready chemistry graduates.<\/p>\n Throughout the interactive session, students actively engaged with the speaker through discussions and questions, gaining clearer perspectives on career pathways, professional responsibilities, and the relevance of chemical knowledge in addressing sustainability issues within industry.
