This international recognition highlights UTM\u2019s growing global reputation in advanced materials and sustainable polymer research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"1136\">Dr. Juan\u2019s project titled <em data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"777\">\u201cPolyurethane Starch Silver-Embedded Nanostructured Hydrogels for Antibacterial and Biocompatible Wound Dressing Applications\u201d<\/em> focuses on the development of innovative hydrogel-based wound dressings with enhanced antibacterial properties and improved biocompatibility. The integration of silver within starch-based polyurethane nanostructures represents a promising approach toward next-generation biomedical materials, particularly for infection control and accelerated wound healing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1241\">The project brings together a strong interdisciplinary and international collaboration team comprising:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1243\" data-end=\"1551\">\n<li data-start=\"1243\" data-end=\"1309\">\n<p data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1309\">Dr. Mohamad Hamdi Zainal Abidin (Department of Chemistry, UTM)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1310\" data-end=\"1370\">\n<p data-start=\"1312\" data-end=\"1370\">Dr. Naharullah Jamaluddin (Department of Chemistry, UTM)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1371\" data-end=\"1459\">\n<p data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1459\">Assoc. Prof. Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek (Department of Biosciences, UTM)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1551\">\n<p data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1551\">Prof. Dr. Kotohiro Nomura (Department of Chemistry, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1940\">This achievement reflects the Faculty of Science\u2019s commitment to advancing high-impact research aligned with UTM Ascend 2030 and the university\u2019s aspiration of <em data-start=\"1713\" data-end=\"1747\">Innovating Sustainable Solutions<\/em>.
