Singaraja, Indonesia, 16 July 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Prof. Dr. Niza Sarmin<\/strong> from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)<\/strong> captivated the academic community at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha)<\/strong> with her lecture, \u201cBeyond the Double Helix: A Journey from DNA Recombination to Unravelling Its Computational Tapestry.\u201d<\/strong> Her discussion focused on how splicing theory<\/strong> in computational mathematics can be applied to genetics<\/strong>, particularly in DNA recombination.<\/p>\n

Prof. Niza highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of the work, opening pathways for international research collaboration<\/strong> between UTM and Undiksha. This collaboration aims to empower both students and faculty with opportunities to participate in cutting-edge research<\/strong>, enriching their academic experiences in computational genetics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event was hosted by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA)<\/strong> at Undiksha, and was highly praised by faculty and students alike. The Dean of FMIPA, Dr. I Wayan Sukra Warpala<\/strong>, expressed excitement over future joint research projects.<\/p>\n
