JOHOR BAHRU, 2 October 2026<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 The Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), congratulates <\/span>Dr. Rose Syuhada Basri<\/span><\/strong> from the <\/span>Department of Biosciences<\/span><\/strong> for successfully securing the <\/span>Geran Penyelidik Baharu<\/span><\/strong>, with research funding of <\/span>RM20,000<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n The two-year project, running from <\/span>1 October 2026 to 30 September 2028<\/span><\/strong>, is entitled <\/span>\u201cIsolation, Screening, and Molecular Identification of Metal-Leaching Bacteria for Bioleaching Application.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The research focuses on identifying and characterising bacteria with the ability to facilitate the extraction of metals through <\/span>bioleaching<\/span><\/strong>.
