CAID Shines at ICOWOBAS 2025

The 10th International Conference and Workshop on Basic and Applied Sciences (ICOWOBAS 2025) was held on May 6–7, 2025, at Le Grandeur Palm Resort in Senai, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Organized by the Faculty of Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), in collaboration with Tishk International University, Salahaddin University, and Universitas Airlangga, the conference embraced the theme “Innovative Science for a Smarter & Sustainable Future.” It served as a vibrant platform for researchers, scholars, industry professionals, and students worldwide to exchange ideas and foster interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing global challenges through scientific innovation. 

Our CAID members, Dr. Mohd Aizuddin Mohd Lazaldin led as the Head of Protocol, Dr. Wan Fatin Amira Wan Mohd Zawawi and Dr. Nurzila Abd Latif as the Secretariat team, and Dr. Farah Hanis Juhari headed the Sponsorship Committee. 

ICOWOBAS 2025 attracted a diverse group of participants, including keynote speakers such as Datuk Prof. Ulung Dr. Harith Ahmad (Universiti Malaya), Prof. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi (Tishk International University), Dr. Iqbal Shamsudheen (PETCO Trading Labuan Company Ltd.), and Prof. Dr. Ni’Matuzahroh (Universitas Airlangga). The conference featured a range of presentations and discussions across various scientific disciplines, promoting knowledge sharing and networking among attendees.

A highlight for CAID members was the opportunity to meet Mr. Zed Oh, founder of SKINLAB Sdn Bhd (Picture above) the platinum sponsor of ICOWOBAS 2025. This engagement underscored the conference’s role in bridging academia and industry, fostering collaborations that drive innovation and sustainable development.
